We’re looking for a Data Scientist consult for our clients Smart Home -project to solve data-oriented challenges related to maintaining & optimizing customers home wifi service.

Your main tasks would include utilizing data and mathematical modelling to help save costs and improve customer experience in WIFI&CPE service. This requires skills in networking and communication with subject matter experts, and solid technical hands-on experience with databases and modelling techniques.

In this role, you will get a chance to make development work with hybrid team which includes data engineers, SW Developers, Domain experts, Architect and Product Owner.

Requirements and needed skills:

Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist analyzing large datasets and building predictive model

Proficiency in wireless networking protocols (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.) to handle raw packet inspection and analysis
Expertise in location tracking algorithms (triangulation, fingerprinting, etc.) to determine device positions
Machine learning and AI skills for activity recognition, user identification, and anomaly detection
Data engineering skills to build pipelines to ingest, process and store large volumes of granular WiFi data
Analytics and visualization expertise to interpret WiFi data and derive actionable insights
Understanding of home automation protocols to integrate with smart home platforms


Working language is English. Remote work, must be in EU.

Ablity to pass Finnish governmental background clearance is a plus but not mandatory.
